Oops! I did it again. Conwing L-16 build.
so i have been messing with drawings for a few days now. at some point, i started converting a 3 view to plans for a 30 inch model. but trying to convert a flat 3 view into a real 3d shape is not easy. so i started cutting out balsa "just to make sure it fits" then i started adding more and more, and pretty soon i had the bone of a fuse for a new plane! Ahh! too many builds! this will by my third, (fourth, if you count the foam glider that is beeing converted to slimy power.)
The Conwing L-16 was a military transport that saw much use in the civilian field. its a twin engine, twin boom seaplane with retractable wheels, and a center mounted pod style fuselage in the style of the p-38. i am going for twin pee wee .020 for power. i am shooting for a AUW of 10 oz, i want to be able to fly on one .020 motor.
I am suffering from a serious illness. its call, 'ground fever'. and much like its cousin, cabin fever, it comes about from been confined to the ground for longer than the human mind can tolerate and still maintain a healthy level of insanity. after extended periods of confinement to the ground, the mind goes into a unhealthy level of insanity.
pics to come.

I am very interested to see this twin!
For me they never go too well.
(the smaller they get the worse my luck)

I'd like to see it too, I have enough trouble starting ONE engine, let alone two!

Yeah by the time you get on going the other one has most likely died.

Yes I saw the video!
It had 8 tee dee .010s and is a true work of art.
I wonder where it is now?

Re: Oops! I did it again. Conwing L-16 build.
well, i had been considering this, i am going to try using a central tank, above the level of the inlet, to feed the built in tank on the motors. as for starting, well see how that goes. if i have enough fuel for the motors to warm up, eventually they will start and keep running.

Probably but then you should use 4 lines 1 for each engine and 1 for filling and 1 vent maybe use a 1/2-1 oz tank.
