Help with Cox catalog numbers please?
A fellow e-mailed me a list of the numbers and descritions of a few old cox parts he has, but there is no pictures. I couldn't find the descriptions for all of them in the net. In the list below there is first the catalog number, then his description of the part and in the brackets my guesstimate of what it might be. If someone has a catalog handy, I would appreciate the interpretation And a link to the catalog would be great
"Thimble Drome"
330 Flywheel (#3xx means babe bee, right? )
1010 drive washer ("10" indicates PeeWee, could this be the prop drive plate?)
1203 Drive washer (as above, but for a golden bee?)
1939 Long needle, black plastic end (nv for a product engine, but which application?)
1968 Needle & spring (as above)
5287 Set of screws (for what?)
Thanks in advance!

Re: Help with Cox catalog numbers please?
Kari a few days ago I opened a thread titled "A piece of history found.." where I offered this parts identification from a 1976 COX catalogue I had found in my old papers. When I hit home from Frankfurt later today I will check if the catalogue helps..

Re: Help with Cox catalog numbers please?
Here's a couple I have found if it helps
1939 needle application, see photo below
1968 needle application
Some listings I have show it listed for .049 types 190-6 Combat Mustang, 191-8 Cessna, Comanche, P-39 Aircobra and Skymaster and 290 Miss America, Bushmaster, P-51 AND Stuka.
It’s also listed for Sky Copter .020 100-4. Don’t know if that’s right or it’s a typo but that’s what it says.
Haven’t found the other numbers as yet

Re: Help with Cox catalog numbers please?
Hi Kari, I was loading my pictures when I saw Dave's post. It's a coincidence that it concerns the same part nr. This is what I've got:
NR 1939: needle valve 290 .049
This number is apparently used for many parts.

Have found an old eBay listing 5287 screw sets for Super Cub 150 but can't find a Super Cub 150 parts listing to verify that

If one flips through the numerous COX engine descriptions at this link, may find some parts numbers:

No worries, I appreciate the effort It would be great if you have access to a scanner and time to scan&upload the parts catalog, I'm sure it would be really interesting read for many.
I also checked the manual sheets you mentioned, but a lot of things are listed as assemblies, for example crankshaft-crankcase-drive plate, even though all the parts were available separately too.

OK, thanks. So number 1939 can be at least 3 different parts, as the one I am thinking has a "black plastic end".

I have just found it on CEF:
https://www.coxengineforum.com/h24-instruction-sheets
it carries the 1973 parts catalog download link, I guess the 1974 is largely the same.

Hmm... I looked at my PeeWee and its needle valve is a lot smaller than any of the product engine ones. Not sure what kind of an .020 the chopper has though. Maybe I'll just skip the 1968 needle and get only the 1939 one. That at least will fit my product engines.
I now found that same eBay listing about the screws, it does say Cub 150 on the label, so that's probably it. Not much useful in the package, and I don't think I'll start collecting the rtf stuff so maybe I'll skip that too.
Thanks for your help Dave.
