Need help identifying a TD .049 crank / crankcase
We have a customer that has a TD 049 crankcase that has bigger exterior dimensions. Also, the crank has a bigger OD and will not fit other .049 TD crankcases.
What does he have?
What does he have?

Medallion 09? What's the dimensions? Maybe a TD 15 if just a little bigger than o 49.

Re: Need help identifying a TD .049 crank / crankcase
I was waiting for someone else to comment.. because I didn't want to suggest that it could be a Tee Dee .09... but it could.. especially if this person is totally unfamiliar with Cox engines and their different sizes. They probably have an .049 cylinder.. which would drop right through the opening in an .09 case.. wouldn't it? I mean.. if they've got .049 parts for comparison.. Perhaps .09 parts were sold to them as being incorrectly described as .049 parts?
Re: Need help identifying a TD .049 crank / crankcase
No, no, this is an experienced 049 modeller lol. He competes in FF events.
He said he actually built an engine with this assembly using stock 049 parts.

I agree with Marleysky and Roddie, but I'm hoping
it's something weird.

Could it be the #2 stamped thing?

Could be a custom one off crank and crankcase set "shrugs" maybe a chromed crank. (Bandit)
