Re: Whats Up with this Thimble Dome Tank
Pretty sure it's just standard early 70's stuff. I have several in the parts bin.
Edit: I was thrown by the step cylinder. Looks like Jacob did a better job on the dates.

Re: Whats Up with this Thimble Dome Tank
☆THIMBLE-DROME☆ First appeared on Babe Bee tanks sometime at the end of 1958 and disappeared in 1969. They're not rare, but you have a nice one.
Re: Whats Up with this Thimble Dome Tank
There were a lot of them made and where still being used into the early 70's, notice the cylinder is the stepped version.
Re: Whats Up with this Thimble Dome Tank
Thanks Guys , I didn't even notice it until I got all cleaned up I do like the way the logo goes all the way around and the stars / may find an older bee and put it on / or replace the pis/cyl. for a keeper Never to many Bees Eric

Re: Whats Up with this Thimble Dome Tank
...just to clarify, Jacob is correct, Cox stopped manufacturing them in '69, but they made a ton of them and they were still showing up on engines for the next couple years.
