.010 particulars
I was wondering if anyone knows how much a .010 can haul around? as in aircraft weight? I am installing one in my Spitfire and I was wondering if there is a goal weight I should be shooting for. I don't want to weigh the poor thing down!

As a maximum but for the Spit aim for about 4oz 5 max or it wont fly well!
BTW Ron you may have another .010 coming your way shortly!

I think 4-5 oz should be easily obtainable, I have been away from the hobby so long I know nothing of Lipo batteries micro servos and tiny receivers. I may be posting a thread when the time comes for that stuff.
BTW that video was hilarious, I don't know what they were saying, but I had fun filling in the words for them!
I also sent back a PM for ya!

Re: .010 particulars
I am flying a Roaring 20 (http://www.earlyrcmodels.com/id15.html) powered with a TeeDee010, weighing 240 grams (8 oz) including 1 oz fuel...well, the birdie sweats a bit in the first few of the 15 or so minutes flying time while the fuel weight is pulling it down but by the time the fuel is down to half it is a ball to fly...cribbs74 wrote:I was wondering if anyone knows how much a .010 can haul around? as in aircraft weight? Re: .010 particulars
As envisioned, my larger Series Four Guillows Spit' will be powered by a G-Mark .061 RC and carry four channels.
I'm aiming at 14 ounces total flight weight but until I weight the components and calculate the wing area I can't be sure of my estimate. Power won't be so much the problem as the wing area to carry it all.
Stay tuned for further developments.
