Hello have you considered purchasing one of the 1950s prop rods cars off ebay you can sometimes pick them up fairly resonable and complete less the engines. Then you could have aperiod correct prop rod but it would be unique because you have the hop up package.also exmodel engines has some new old stock propellers in original packages there white coloured.just some thoughts im thinking of buying some proPs from them myself you now what happens n.o.s eventually run out.my oldest engines are three early 70s babe bee i would love to get my hands on a 1950 s like you.i asume alot of the shrikes and prop rods engines took to the air and never Looked back ha!ha!RC Plane

Considered. But not a priority. Problem is finding an early prop rod. The later ones had babe bees and they eventually discontinued them and used the molds to create the shrike. Being a collector, I'm always looking for a deal though. There's one on eBay right now that's got a shrike lower half and the seller described it as a shrike, but it's going to sell for way less. 6 minutes if someone wants in on it. http://bit.ly/1aJ9aCT

Edit: and it's gone. Not a bad deal. Not trying to have my projects stack up too much so it wasn't for me. If whoever got it is smart though, there's an aluminum prop rod lower half on eBay right now as well. http://bit.ly/1gftvb3

Well, a 1957 would not have anything on the tank. Shoot me a PM

If you want one with Thimble Drome on the tank I can do that too.
