lol, I did have a .049 piston/rod on my key chain when i was a teen.
When I was 17, I put a Wen Mac .049 Piston/Rod on a cheap gold chain and gave it to a girl...
She didn't seem NEARLY as impressed as I'd expected !!!

Well that's it!!!....Since the most knowledgeable guy in the Cox community does not like this Tie Clip....I'm throwing the Damn thing out!! You have made me see the light Mark. Here I always thought Dan Sitter was the most knowledgeable guy in the Cox World but it's Mark Boeson. Hail the King!!

Weird, you would have thought she would have been overjoyed with such a valuable gift.Kim wrote:Mark Boesen wrote:

Maybe she would have preferred a Cox piston?

No, actually it's 'Mudhen', Sitter would be a distant second, if you want to put me above Sitter I would consider that a compliment.ZACATTACK wrote:Well that's it!!!....Since the most knowledgeable guy in the Cox community does not like this Tie Clip....I'm throwing the Damn thing out!! Re: TD .010 Tie Clip
We'll never know...but of the three or four Cox Engines I had, all ran well...while the poor Wen Mac barely cranked...so, even back then, I had my priorities on-spot !!!!!Cribbs74 wrote:Weird, you would have thought she would have been overjoyed with such a valuable gift.Kim wrote:Mark Boesen wrote:

ZACATTACK, we are done. If you want to continue to argue and complain, go somewhere else. Being rude and insulting is not tolerated here. Take this as a warning.ZACATTACK wrote:Mark Boesen.... I wonder if the original poster ever found one or made the cuff links?
It would be nice to know the rest of the story....

OP here.Cribbs74 wrote:I wonder if the original poster ever found one or made the cuff links?

Nothing found as yet...was a nibble but price seemed to be a sore point... but that's another story.
Out of curiosity what price range would you lot put a one of these tie clips in?
Obviously it would depend on condition etc but I do feel I am looking at this rather blind.
Finding someone to do the cuff links is still on the to-do list.
If nothing else I'll be showing the guy in question this post so he knows I tried. I left my email open and he saw my registration email so he is very curious as to why I'm on here. He's agreed not to go looking until after xmas so I have a little time to get things sorted.

Re: TD .010 Tie Clip
The price on these has increased the last few years. I paid $325 on eBay for mine. It was from Sitter though so there was demand for that one.
