Do they exist? I am having bad vibe issues with my Fox. It actually makes the needle impossible to adjust and hurts my fingers to tey and adjust it. Ken has been helping me and one of his suggestions was steel wedges. I currently use Nylon ones.

I couldn't turn mine that day I videoed my run either. On top of the vibes it was stiff. An L shaped needle would help if it's long enough to clip the knob and bend over.

I am using the new style Fox NVA on mine. It's easy to turn if I could grab a hold of it.

One slip and your finger will be shorter. A tiny hose clamp around the knob would give you something to grip. Ugly though.

That's what I am trying to avoid. These thing's don't play around. My wife actually calls them toys........

I know you'd rather solve it with a firmer mount, but if that doesn't work out you could drill and tap a 2-56 hole in the side of the knob and thread a screw into it to give your fingers some leverage. Sort of like this:

The problem with the vibe is it not only is hard to adjust the needle, but it causes poor runs due to vibrating the tank so bad.

That needle valve has an O-ring under that cap so drilling into it would invite air leaks.

An old trick to help balance side mounted engines was to use a slightly unbalanced prop, if it vibrated really bad, rotate it 180, so it would add or subtract from the counterweight of crank.

Tried that one. No workee.

Then I put a really good balanced prop on to see if that helped. No...

Something has changed with the plane. It didn't do it for the first 10 or so flights. I peeled away the doubler from the fuse slightly. It's down real low near the landing gear. it happened after a really hard landing and I wonder if that is the culprit?

Who knows. I will fix it though. Ken had some really good ideas so I will try them one at a a time.

I'm going to need to figure out how to try and prevent the Fox from shaking my Yak to pieces. And do it without making the nose weigh a ton. Now is the time to do it. But the trouble is, firming up the mounting just passes the trouble down the line to the next soft spot. Maybe I need to stick with the thicker doublers.

Like I mentioned above. It was a non-issue when the model was first flown.

Keep in mind the Fox will shake a ton until broken in. It may take a gallon of fuel before that happens.

Mine was run since 1952 so I imagine breaking in isn't a prob.
