cox interceptor car... Build to modern day RC best cox car ever made LOL!
I am going to build this car with modern day servos and 2.4 and steering I am going to try and put a throttle carb on the motor also hopefully when it's done it will be one of the best rc cox cars ever to run on this earth!
I ordered a carb unit and back plate from E-bay that I will put on and mod the chassis to fit it hopefully.
I also ordered another .049 buggy motor the sand blaster type with the exhaust muffler so most of the oil will exit the bottom of the car I am probably going to put the muffler on my motor since it's new.
As of now I installed a micro servo with a ball link steering set up and now it works 100 times better than the stock one did.
Will post some photos when I can.

I have wondered how one of those would do with modern gear. The biggest drawback will be lack of suspension and those hard tires.
Looking forward to some pictures and perhaps a video.

I have acquired so many Cox engines that I too...desire to morph a few old skool cars to newer more modern electrics coupled with the older small engines.... May be a while before I get around to this sort of re-creating but I never get tired of reading about what others are attempting...keep the ideas and dreams coming

That sounds interesting!
I guess this could go pretty fast with the light chassis.
The 2.4 ghz System is a good choice, I also use a 2.4 ghz radio in my cox powered rc cars. It is not funny if you have to run after your car at full throttle Be sure to install the fail safe function also.
Please post some pics and finally a video.

Thanks guy's I will post some photos as soon as I can I have 1 more day until I can post photos because I am a new member!
I have to wait for all my parts to get here so I can start more work on it... I have the steering done and now I am going to set up the stuff inside the box and actually used the stock 4AA holder that they have built in the box to power the radio.
and about a failsafe the radio's RX has one built in.

Hi you don't need a brake you can't fully stop with this car with the worm gear it has it don't roll ... you will need to have the motor running fast enough to make the car roll with the gear connected on the axle to the motor so it wont stall.

I also can't view the vid, could be an Apple thing. The phone does not have Flashplayer, I just removed it from my Mac because of security problems.

We've really got a growing community of car builders here at CEF, and I'm glad to see it. I never knew they were so complex until Coxaddicted and a few others started educating us.

I caught a glimpse of a girl taking a bite out of an LP the other night on a TV commercial. I have no idea what it was about.
