NFFS Medalion #5161 on ebay! Is it a really deal

I wonder where he gets his supply of Cox engines. He always seems to come up with the nicest items. Let the bidding begin.

He should show a close up of the cylinder. Too bad it is missing the included printout from NFFS.

Do all these NFFS .051 engines have the number written in magic marker on the box? Maybe they were all marked this way at the factory before they left, I dont know !? This one does have 161 written on top of the box. 1996 was the time when parts started running out, engines were being withdrawn from production and the wheels of the company started falling off in my opinion. Estes had taken over the company and a new era of Cox began again. Estes sure chopped alot of great engines out of the line-up in 1996, apparently, they did not have enough parts for this run of a scheduled 300 and only 258 engines of this model were put out to the public! Terrible period of time for Cox!!
