Good score. I had my eye on that auction. Several interesting looking engines there.

Thanks man,
I had a feeling that someone from CEF had their eye on this.
Now, my only wish is that the space bug jr isnt one of the non functional engines...

I didn't bid as it was over my budget already.

My guess is that the "non-functional" engines are the ones without needles.shell shock wrote:Thanks man,

The spinner nut on the SBJr is from a rubber tipped spinner. Bernie has the Acorn prop nuts.
The fuel pickup is opposite the needle, so for CL you need to rotate the backplate.
If the glow head is burned out you may have trouble locating the correct one if it still has the small plug. Otherwise, you may need to install a new cylinder and glow head.
Good luck with it.

I was sad to read that the jr. does not use the std. glow plug. I would most likely be either putting the jr. on display, or RC

The current cylinder will fit on the SB Junior.

What cyl. would you recomend? Also, what parts (piston crank ext ext) is compatable with the space bug jr, from lets say a sure start or a babe bee?

Your SBJ could have either head on it depending on when it was made. If it's a later SBJ then it will have the regular head. Any new standard head will work, but will not be correct.
I say buy an acorn nut and put any old regular thin walled cylinder that takes a new style head on it and use it!

Yes a single bypass is what it came with. You can use just about any cylinder you want, but only a thin walled #2 will look correct.
