Will the price of Cox Engines just keep rising and rising until the average working guy, that these engines were made for and priced for, will never be able to afford? Cause it seems it is going that way and it is kind of sad. What will the price of the rare 50's & 60's engines be worth in 10 years? Thoughts? Good Investment or Bad?

As for now the prices keep going up.

I wonder if there will get to be fewer and fewer people who remember what these engines are. I think a big part of the reason we collect them is because of the fond memories we have of them. They don't really mean anything to the younger generation. So will there come a time when they lose their appeal or will they always be appreciated for what they are and what they did? This is all in the far future of course.

Then maybe they'll be a dime a dozen again.

OK I take that back! Of course the younger generation thinks they're cool. Who couldn't?

for me, that's exactly why I collect them. For me, old machines are more than just mere pieces of lathed metal.
They live. They tell me stories! Every nick and scratch on the cylinder makes me think of what that engine might have been up too in the 60s,
35 years before i was even born! And when they run, they make me realise what marvelous little things they are, functioning like new, even when they've
been sitting idle for 20 years drenched in their own castor oil, clogged up and forgotten. And yes, they are also undeniably cool and guarantee jaws dropping to the ground, when you show
them to your friends. And I probably will not sell mine, even if i'd completely loose interest 20 years from now. I would keep them safe, just so the future generations could enjoy these little guys just as I do.
