Anyone have plans for the Blink?

Anyone have plans for the Blink?
Looking for the original plan that has the building instructions and tells what size balsa to use. I've seen a picture them on a build thread (can't find that anymore either) but I can't find that version of the plans anywhere. Thanks.

The plans are probably at rcgroups.com. I'm looking around there.

Re: Anyone have plans for the Blink?
That's the plan I do have, but not the one I'm looking for. I found the build thread with the picture I mentioned earlier. The plan he is using has the instructions and labels the size of all the parts. Too bad it has wax paper over it, I would have just copied everything onto my set of plans. I'm going to message the builder and see if he still has the plans. Here's the photo.

I think that was "Andrew0820" at rcgroups.com that posted those plans. He's just plain "Andrew" here at CEF. If you click Memberlist and type his name in the search box, you can send a PM to him. He may be able to fix you up.

Build thread
Are you going to do a build thread on this model?
I want one about 50% for 020 power
I may have a set of those plans hiding from me somewhere for just such purposes,I may have to go recon mission to find those plans if you really need a copy of them

Re: Anyone have plans for the Blink?
The set of plans I have at home are the tiled PDF's without part dimensions or instructions. I went back and checked on some of the original TurboCad files, but do not have the finished fullsize plan. Patrick Ulmer's site is no longer up and running, however, I do have a hints file that is attached --- maybe this will be of some help.
Aside from dimensions, the plans Patrick drew up were for the 1/2A group in RCU and usually lacked much in the way of building instructions. Most of the folks over there that were active in the group at the time were pretty comfortable with scratch building and needed only basic drawings. One of Patrick's most successful designs was the DNU (Das Not Ugly) and one that I highly recommend for anyone wanting to scratch out an nice, quick R/C plane.
Rusty's correct -- I post in RCG as Andrew0820, but as Andrew here and in RCU.

my plans/kit
my plans came along with a short kit or full kit I`m not sure which. I havn`t gotten my flying skills back up to where they once were so yet so i have not yet even studied the kit/parts and plans yet since I`m nowhere near ready to fly this yet
. There are not seperate instructions with mine, just the plans sheet(actual on paper copy) which appear to be the same as in your pic that can`t be read due to the wax paper.
I got mine from one of the guys on one of the other forums so we may be in a similar boat on that one.
The plans look to be pretty straight forward as far as construction hints but cutting out your own parts may be more complex as I said,I havn`t studied the plans closely but I could probably get you the thickness sizes based on my kit if not listed on the plans.
I will have to dig mine out and get back to you on the specs.
I don`t know of any place around to try to get a paper copy for you,its much too large for the average office photocopy machine without making a photocopy jigsaw puzzle which is never fun by my past experiences.
The blink is a good bit larger than my "delta racer" which came pre built from way down under a few years ago and I was going to simply copy that one since its smaller. The guy that designed/built it was running a COX reedie on his, whereas I think the blink was aimed at a more spirited engine such as a norvel or COX TeeDee.
Perhaps once I find mine I can simply give you the name of the guy I got mine from and you can contact him for more details than I could supply anyway.
I wanted to get my plans shrunk by about 50% for 020 power because the blink looks huge by my standards as I havn`t flown anything as large as 049 size in many years, my ACE littlest stick is bigger than my average plane these days

Re: Anyone have plans for the Blink?
Thank you Andrew, thats exactly what I needed!
Jaspur, I ended up settling on the DNU and Clancy Ladybug. The blink will have to wait until summer. Right now I'm working on two dumas lil swamp buggies my dad and I got for christmas. Powering them with sure starts on 1oz tanks. When those are done, I'll build the planes I picked out.
Thanks for your help everyone.

cool
I like the ladybug very much,I havn`t tried a dnu but good luck in your endeavors. My blink isn`t going to be built any time soon.
I will build a few foam insulation crash test delta`s to save building/repair time until I get my flying skills up to a blink/delta level before I try flying one that I spent the time to build up right.
Keep us posted or do a build thread on your projects
