There's a hole in my runway........
First attempt at an outside loop. Talk about a lawn dart!!!! I fell down laughing when it happened.

That's funny. That poor little plane is just takes a lick and keeps on getting back up, and it's still pretty in a rugged sort of way. I don't know if it's the camera lens or if I'm really seeing a twist in that inboard wing. I forgot which one you said was the tweaked one in your other thread. If it's as much as it looks like in the picture, that's probably where your troubles are coming from. If there's any shrink left in the covering, maybe you can straighten it with heat. I wish I could take it for a spin.

Who the hell is going around giving negative reps?. Someone gave one to Ken earlier.

I noticed I got dinged. Maybe I I shouldn't have poked fun at crashing my plane. I figured since I built it, then I have the right to laugh about the mishaps.

Yeah it's a tough bird. If it teaches me to stunt I will make it pretty again.
That's the wing Rusty, it's straight now. I did some careful heat gun work just a few min ago.

Just a thought Ron.
Flying R/C the bunt (outside loop) should be entered
Down wind not into wind like an inside loop.
Not sure if that's conventional wisdom in C/L but
Perhaps give It a try next time.

Hey Ron,
You might also try entering the maneuver from about waist high, pulling up as if to start a wing-over, then smoothly pushing it over at the top and down through the bottom outside.
This will allow you to slow the plane a bit before diving (where it gains a LOT of speed). The lower initial speed should allow a tighter loop.
Just a thought! Kim

Sounds about right John. I have been making an attempt at watching what thw wind is doing. The outside loop was performed on a whim so not much thought went into it. As you can probably tell.

Thanks Kim, food for thought. This thing is very fast with that BW on the nose. Anything that slows me down and allows me to think can only be more helpful.
