Manx Arrow
i found this plan on www.outerzone.co.uk today and is called the Marx arrow, it is a flying wing glider with 66'' wingspan
i was wondering if there is away to convert the plans that are shown to a tiled format so that i can print them from my hp officejet 6500 printer, and would rc be possible?

Re: Manx Arrow
If you print with adobe there is a setting called "Poster". It is in the window that pops up when you hit Ctrl+P or the Print button. I know Adobe X has this feature.

Re: Manx Arrow
i cant seem to find the engine that this model calls for, is there a cheap alternative of a diesel engine of 0.2cc
i saw a AE 0.2cc, were might i find one if it is still being produced, i might just have to give this plane a whirl

Re: Manx Arrow
That is about .0122 Cubic Inches. I am not sure what power the engine specified had. You could always try a Tee Dee .010. Or a Pee Wee. More power needed then try a Tee Dee .020.

Re: Manx Arrow
I got an AE .2cc, they are fantastic engines!
Far better than the other AE sizes I've seen, they are no longer made they were last produced in the 90s, a .010 or .020 would be a good substitute.
There are a few engines around .2cc, the Kempe .2cc engines (many variations), the clan .24cc, pee wee, tee dee, DG mills replicas, VA mills .25cc, ED baby replicas 0.246, lots to consider.

If there is a kinkos near where you live you can generally print a large format plan for around five bucks an forgo all the tape work.

thats the route i think ill take on wensday when i can get to the kinko's in my town
Indra: i have a peewee that could work, but it has a 66'' wing, is'nt that a little bit big for an engine that small??? well it is free flight and i think slower is deffinetly better,

Re: Manx Arrow
I dunno, I've never built the plane but the pee wee has more power than every .2cc diesel I know of.
Just get final weight in at under around 13oz and you should be good.
Pee wees only
Usually take 9oz but this is a floater, but jar build as light as you can.
