Did Cox ever issue a Tee Dee .049 cylinder that was milled to fit a throttle ring?

Yes and no..... A throttle ring will fit on the cylinder as I have one on mine. However, I don't think they came on thrm from the factory.jsesere wrote:Did Cox ever issue a Tee Dee .049 cylinder that was milled to fit a throttle ring?

Would you need to eliminate the SPI if you use a throttle ring, just like if you had a muffler? I could be wrong, I'm not sure exactly how a throttle ring works.

It probably wouldn't hurt. It does operate fine with one on it though. The throttle is a tad tricky though. It likes to kill the engine when you transition from low to high throttle. I found if you go slow on the transition it does ok.

What you probably have is a p/c from a Medallion .049 R/C. They used a #3 cylinder which had a second bypass to compensate for the losses due to throttle.
