.020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
I tried but couldn't find the thread that ran a while back, asking about any .020 Powered Control Line Planes. I MAY have posted this plan from American Modeler before, but not sure.
Anyway, it's a cute little plane that ought to be light enough, with enough wing to be a good flyer if someone would care to crank one out. Also, note the cool bellcrank location !!!!

That's tempting. Maybe I could build it this winter. How would I get full size plans? I suppose I could draw it up myself from that picture.

Do they just mount the bellcrank to the spar?I would cut a notch and use a ply mount.

I'll always have a couple PeeWees ready for you to fly.
Sharp looking little model.
Re: .020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
I think I will do this with an external tank attached through a drilled tank on a Pee Wee. I went to get wood today but we went to Hobby Lobby instead. It is double the price there compared to my LHS. So wood will be gathered tomorrow.

I also checked, 1/32 balsa feels very weak. I am not sure if I would use it on the ribs or vertical stabilizer.

I didn't know this plane would be so popular, so if it helps at all, here's black and white copy of the plan, aligned in landscape style. If you guys want, I could have it scanned and printed at Staples for cost and postage.

Re: .020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
I managed to get a hold of some other Pee Wee powered planes. Currently I have 4 planes. The Little Gem, Lil Stingray, Little Bit, and the Liberty Bell. The Little Gem and Little Bit are both in PDF. The other two are currently being made into PDF. You can PM me with your email if you would like them.

Re: .020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
The Lil Stingray is capable of flying with a Tee Dee .020. I hunted for awhile and got someone to send me copies of the magazine. I then sent those to someone to create a pdf. That pdf is now on Outerzone. I had about 4 CL planes for Tee Dee .010 made into pdf. They are the Queen Bee, Little Bit, Liberty Bell, and Lil Stingray. Not all of these made it to Outerzone. PM with an email address if you want one.

No, if you think the Lil Stingray on a TeeDee 010 will fly fine, thats fantistic. What length and type of lines would you use?

Re: .020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
I got three of these Mini-Ringmaster kits from Pat King with full size plans. 19" span for Pee Wee
They were 35$ plus shipping if anyone wants one, I haven't even opened the box yet.

At most 25 feet. I fly with 15 feet. Two sec laps are a quick way to get rid of the dizzies. Which version of the Stingray are you going to build? There is a diamond airfoil or a round airfoil. I am in the process of building the diamond version.

Re: .020 Powered Control Line---"Lil Stingray"
I'm going to use the conventional aerofoil on 25 foot line with my Td 010. I want it as calm as possible. Does that sound ok?
