I bought one of these custom throttles off US Ebay a while ago, I've just assembled a SS to go into the Honker I'm building from the plan Andrew posted a while back.

I must admit to being quite impressed with the throttle, it comes as a replacement cylinder/piston with the throttle barrel fitted to the cylinder, you can't use the throttle ring on another cylinder because they seem to be lapped together.
The engine throttles really smoothly down to just sub-7,000 rpm, pickup is instant, and you can arrange the throttle to close completely to kill the engine if you wish.

I'm not usually a fan of exhaust restrictor throttles, but this one is very good indeed.

In the distant pass, exhaust restrictors were used to adjust speed. Early hi-performance boat engines used this as UC Carrier engines. Worked pretty good.

Wilf, try to get a throttled medallion with the venturi/exhaust linkage.
