Post  mitchg95 Mon Apr 02, 2012 12:22 pm

hi, im sure that all of you guys have seen the "flite test" channel on youtube and maybe there video on the electric funbat
if any one has not seen that video, here is the link... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJQexvMq8V4&feature=plcp&context=C47eb2faVDvjVQa1PpcFMkumohTOCLg1nKt0xRVXOeendTTJQrr5c%3D

i am interested on downloading the planes for this airplane and maybe building it, not for e-power but maybe one of my cox engines. Im thinking that a redtank peewee will be enough for this plane. But what do you guys think? Should i use the peewee, or use a throttled baby bee?
Also what should i make it out of? I already know that foam is not fuel proof, cloroflute board is extremely strong and cheap, but balsa would probably be lighter. I have never used cloroflute board before and have plenty of experience working with balsa.
Thanks guys

Depron is fuel proof.
How much will it weigh?

A pee wee won't fly that.
I would say Norvel.

You can slice the weight of the OrangeRX in half by removing the case.

well i decided to make the whole plane from that poster board foam that can be purchased at hobby lobby, i have the wing and fuselage made but botched the fuselage pretty bad and now its not straight DAMMIT! , what should i use on this plane to keep the fuel from eating the foam and soaking the paper covering on the board? im thinking normal packaging tape will work just fine for this application, but what do you guys think?
i have also decided to use my cox golden bee in this plane instead of the norvel .049 rc with muffler because there will be no need of an external fuel tank, the golden bee looks friggn awesome, and the cox golden bee will be way louder than the norvel
