Getting black dots off of foam.
Hello guys today I spent a long time trying to get an engine mounted on a plane to run.
I tried and tried but all i got was a burst from prime every now and then but it was throwing oily dots all over the plane it was on. The dots do not want to come off the foam and it is a brand new plane so don't want them to be there forever!
any help appreciated.

You sure it won't dissolve the foam?

Spray "Mr. Clean" and "Simple Green"spray liquid detergent works well too.

Naw it's only like a thin epoxy.
But
Obviously do a little test spot first.
I use FlexiKote or you could even use epoxy thinned down with some
alcohol.

Re: Getting black dots off of foam.
all the variations of "foam" are safe to use Dawn, Palmolive or other normal houshouls dish soaps on
I prefer unscented Dawn as it disolves castor oil and rinses sqeeky clean with warm water
I did have to soak one combat foam wing (that I never covered or fuel proofed) in the tub over night with wet dish cloth and dawn soap in top (foam floats dont ja know)...grin
