Thimble Drome racer
Was just wanting to see if anyone had any idea what these were worth? I’m looking to sell it. I don’t need full price from it but something fair. We need the money to help pay for her nursing home care.
Thanks, all.

That's a very nice example. Complete and relatively undamaged. I won't even guess a value, but there are others on here who will hopefully steer you in the right direction. Good luck.
Rod.

I just realized how incomplete my post was. This was found in my grandmother’s basement while cleaning out her house. We are selling her house and obviously, everything in it. Wow, I am tired.

Congrats Eric, if I understand correctly, you have managed to buy it.... it will be an excellent project for you to refurbish it back into service, please post photos when you have received it and explored its real condition...a video on how it actually runs would be the icing on the cake top...I have never heard an oldstock Thimble Drome car engine in operation...

Oh Forty Five............couldn't go to a better person!
I would ensure the engine is free and undamaged then fuel it up and run it. Then clean it and look at it. Looks original, wouldn't touch it other than a coat of Pledge.
Best wishes for your Mom AH.
