Cox Engine of The Month
010 Glow Heads

010 Glow Heads
Goodaye All,
I have just bought the most awesome TD 010 Cox Engine which I definitely intend to use and fly. I was looking at parts on Bernie and Matt' sites and noticed both sell an OEM Cox 010 glow head and a new 010 Glow head to suit. Does anyone know if there is any technical/engineering reason to prefer one glow head over the other? Cost difference at purchase doesnt bother me. But is there any known run difference or such in them. I suspect the OEM part might be preferred by those collecting and wanting their engine as genuine as possible.
All and Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
such a cool engine! :-)
Cheers,
Gary

Re: 010 Glow Heads
Gary, your assumption is right. No measurable performance difference between the OEM and aftermarket 010 heads. Even the vintage visual attraction of the OEM is lost once you remove it from the old stock packing and start using it. I am an active 010 user and hence my opinion.
