Gasket or Not for New Style Block
Hi Friends
The new style tank that has the plastic retainer over it to hold the reed valve. I have seen some with a crankcase gasket and seen others without. What is the preferred way to assemble. With an additional bar stock gasket or just suck the plastic retainer assembly direct to the crankcase between the tank?
Thanks

Mine has only had the plastic retainer/gasket and have not had any problems.

If the case and tank faces are clean and
flat(and the retainer faces are the same), you might get away
without a gasket . The debate about where the gasket
goes, may go on forever.
