Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?

Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Do any of you guys know of an available 90deg elbow fitting that would work for the small fuel tubing we use on our .049s? 3/32" or 1/8"OD is needed. Bending brass tubing to 90deg is just too large for the application I'm working with. I figured someone in the model industry has probably made some small plastic 90deg barbed fittings. I just haven't stumbled across any of them. Thanks!

They are most definately available. Can try fittings for automobile windshield wipers, or go to your local auto parts store and ask them. They are used in automotive. There are 90 degree fittings, 't' fittings, etc. Sorry I do not have anymore on hand, but had used them in the past a couple of times. May also want to try a small engine shop as well. They will have a better selection of the smaller ones you are looking for.

Forget the below options. Here is a source.
https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=114546
On Amazon. Kinda spendy.
https://www.amazon.com/Eldon-James-L0-2-200BN-Black-Degree/dp/B017VNHBTQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_22?dchild=1&keywords=90+degree+hose+elbow+1%2F8”&qid=1589513683&sr=8-22
Brass ones from McMaster Carr. Even more spendy. Almost an inch long. Kinda big.

Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Have had near perfect success bending 90 degree and180 degree bends by inserting whipper snipper plastic cord inside 1/8 and 3/32" tubing. Make sure fits snug inside tubing. Then bend around a screwdriver with the desired radius. worked a treat. Some said fill with sand or salt but whipper snipper line was the best hands down. Sometimes devil hard to pull snipper line out after. But a pair of vice grips never failed yet.

Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Thanks for all the great responses! I ended up ordering some of the 3/32" elbows from US Plastic in Jason's link. The shipping was a shocker at $12.74 so I got 10 of them to feel better somewhat better about it. They are located here in Texas, so maybe they will arrive quickly.

Bwahaha! Last week I online-ordered some lawnmower parts from Tupelo, MS. I live an hour drive south, but figured for the price of gas I would save the trip.
Package tracking shows it left Tupelo, went to Memphis, TN, down to Jackson, MS (state distro center for USPS, I guess), back up to Greneda, MS (regional distro for north part of the state 1/2 way from Jackson to Memphis), then to Oxford, MS (halfway from Greneda to Memphis), then turned towards the east side of the state. Total time in transit running up and down the west side...three days.

Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
what about aluminum tubing? you want to keep the diameter small for good fuel draw
Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
lol, oops, it's not about fuel pickup, sorry! (can't delete)
Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Hi Troy, I've had these sm. size fittings for 30 years.. made by Fourmost.
They're the one's that I'd recommend.. because they're still available.. Stk.#104
http://www.fourmostproducts.com/our-products/fuel-fittings/
.. and they're made for our purpose.
Here's an image of the assortment that they currently offer.
I may re-stock; now that I know that they're still available. I've used/re-used my fittings on a number of projects.

Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Yep. Great idea, and a perfect use of a 90 degree elbow fitting. Totally will be looking locally for some in the very near future when I finally get to running some engines again. Thanks for the pictures and idea!

Re: Cox Engine Fuel Tubing Elbow Fitting?
Roddie, that is so cool! What amazes me too, is they still sell the fuel cutoffs. I still have one I bought in the late 1970's from the Ace R/C catalog, great for a 2 channel plane without throttle control. A blip of full down elevator with a section of thread connected to elevator servo arm pulls the spring clamp pinching fuel line, killing the engine, in case one needs to terminate flight early.
