Nah, I'm just a wimp. Cried like a baby when I laid my finger on a hot soldering iron. And you thought three bladed props were dangerous.
You hit send a trifle before me Rene.
Does your P-40 engine have P40 under both exhaust ports???
Yes! Bob, my Cylinder does have p40 under each exhaust port! just checked. each a little different. Must have used individual letter/number stamps to imprint each side. Kind of like what GM use to use to stamp blocks and transmissions.

You only get older if you give up fiddling with COX engines, that we do not do... check my slogan under my post.
I greatly appreciate that

Re: Cox P-40 engine boil
Small price to pay for enjoying this hobby. But it actually happened Saturday while my son was soldering the wiring loom on my S scale locomotive. I reached across the workbench for a screwdriver and......No big deal and not much of a badge of courage but I'll accept it.
Just came up from the basement to check his work (been doing the P-40 engine) and it took off right off the edge of the track.
Looked like this when I got it:

You have a long memory Doc, but not to worry. Someday I will nail down my son long enough to apply those whitewalls. Meanwhile they are safely tucked away in the same envelope that you sent them in.

I know Doc.
I'm just happy that someone is actually reading my rather disjointed threads.
Thanks Levent and Rene, I'm glad that we finally cleared that one up. Initially I only could see one stamp on mine, then when I cleaned it up the other side appeared.

Thanks for teh tutorial of how you clean your springs, living on the edge style... I will be giving one a try one day when mother nature finally decides to make up her mind and stay warm here and melt away all this white stuff. Also, that train looks very nice now.
