Pee Wee .020 throttled combinated system
Hello comunity, a little before having the new photo of December, I want to share this curious throttle system for my favorite little cox Pee Wee that combines air restriction and exhaust at the same time.
This is a good miniature job of an unknown English craftsman, incorporating nylon bushes, seeger whasers, smooth operation, the wire rods are designed to open one exhaust port first and then another, and needle valve is strange design, I don´t know certainly how is work but when open needle fuel mix come lean and increase speed.
I have disassembled some parts but I fear damaging it and I don't have much time now.
Here the rare needle valve, which has two holes, one axial and one transversal, which is covered by the rubber gaskets
Finally the system in operation, with an incredible idle and very fast response to the throttle despite having used a very large 5x3 "propeller and a very long tank line.
Ready, let´s take off
You can see Pee Wee spitting fuel
I hope you like them and ask all the comments and questions are welcome
Long live the engines

I sure looks like some Limey rig. Sort of like twin Stombergs on an old Volvo or British sports car or maybe some Triumph/BSA motorcycle. The prop in the video looks a bit on the large side.

Tons of fiddling to get it to run with the larger prop load, yellow safety tipped 4.5x4 made
for the .049. The advantage is a lower idle but does not make much power / rpm.
Would be interesting to see what it does with a .020 prop such as a Cox 4.5D x 2P or APC 4.2x2

I will run 4,5x2" prop later , but big prop is easystarter for first test.
Re: Pee Wee .020 throttled combinated system
do not doubt that there is a lot of design work, that is amazing, now .... is really effective in relation to the weight and power of the engine? ....when it works .... thanks for your tiempo José!
