Galbreath head nelson plug
Going through my glow heads I found two different types of heads, both take nelson plug and have the same bottom.
One has two fins and a heavy ring on top. Anyone know why, perhaps an older head?
Also has anyone used Kitting it Together lately? I just went there to get some heads and browser warned it was a bogus site?

The one on the left just looks like a milled TD head.

I bought 2 heads snd some Nelson plugs recently from Kittingittogether and Larry the salesman or owner gave me a very polite service. He also gave me the same gasket advice as to Brad.

Re: Galbreath head nelson plug
I think those two heads may have been made from a stock head. The left one has a counterbore to keep the slots to remove the head. The other one, the guy went to the trouble of turning the bottom fin down and milling slots in it. It is the better way, as the left one compromises the plug as the wrench could slip. I doubt the cooling makes a difference.

Week-before-last I ordered three heads and five plugs from him. Ordered on Tuesday, got them on Friday. Great service.

Galbreath Nelson Head for Cox
I've purchased several of his Glow heads for Nelson plug some years back and have found them to be excellent. Recently, I have attempted to place an order for more but have not received a reply to any of my emails. I understand that Doug has had some health issues recently. His web site is still up and running but is he still in business?

I'm quite certain Doug has passed. One of our CEF members provides Galbreath head adapters. https://kamtechnik.com/ He makes turbo plug adapters and Nelson style

Re: Galbreath head nelson plug
I never met Doug but we did have conversation over the years. Doug at one time was the only person stateside who was dealing with Cyclon .049 parts. He rebuilt one for me and got it in working order. I still use that engine today. I believe his son was liquidating off some of his parts and inventory. Doug was the go to guy and there's not a lot of these guys left and no one filling where they left off.
