Model building music..
Do you find listening to music, to be enjoyable while building/working in your hobby shop?
Re: Model building music..
When the wife sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher, I know I got the volume just right.

I listen to Gotradio's Bit o' Blues channel on the net when I am driving or working on a model airplane...the perfect background music with excellent vintage blues. https://gotradio.com/

Re: Model building music..
The Peanuts teacher's voice is a muted brass instrument, probably a trombone. By moving the mute, either a special derby hat for music or sometimes a rubber toilet plunger cup without the handle (crude but very effective as well as inexpensive), gives the wah - wah sound.rsv1cox wrote:Peanuts teachers voice sounds like a 45 record played at 33 1/3. When I built my first Nieuport 28 I happened to be listening to Mireille Mathieu's Made in France album. A coincidence.
I never heard of Mireille Mathieu until you mentioned it, quite a remarkable woman. She has a very nice, silky voice pleasing for ballads, plus she appears to be a morally upright person, a good example for all including children to listen to, in contrast to much of the so called modern music artists of today.

Yes, She was brought up in occupied France coming from a poor family.
Diminutive in size but a with huge voice she sings in eleven languages. Does Abba really well. A big star in Europe from the '60's til today.
She didn't need knee-high pattern leather boots and a skirt up to here and a top down to there to show her talent.

Earlier videos of her I saw on YouTube was hard to distinguish her stature. In this video done this past September 2, she does a wonderful job in Red Square, Moscow. Yes, she must only be about say 4'-10" or so.rsv1cox wrote:Yes, She was brought up in occupied France coming from a poor family. She is now 72, but hasn't lost her charming singing voice.

Before you have model building music, you need a suitable man cave. Here's what one man did for a budget.

Don't you just love the misogyny of it all ? I used to do some business in another life in the Aiken, SC--Augusta, GA corridor. Brown was legendary for getting "dusted", beating his women and high speed state line criss-crossing police chases.

Eddie Murphy does a funny bit (his Delirious show) on James Brown. It's on YouTube.. but not suitable to post here.
