Hmmm, they must have used up the extinguisher that was sitting under the table there, or the panic set in and it was forgotten or looked over. Sad deal all around, possible thousands of dollars up in smoke, in a instant.

You don't throw a blanket on there and just hold it there,,that's like stoking the fire. The whole reason for throwning a blanket on there is so you can smother and swat out the fire without getting burned.

Why I always carry a Halon extinguisher with me to the field, always in the truck, and one in the shop.

I felt bad for the old timer. The look on his face reminded me of the day I crashed my Astro Hog. To date is was my most exspensive and time consuming airplane to build. Sometimes they die way to soon. Sad
