Well ... after an auction, wait a few days and premeditate how I would restore it, I finally received this Cox Tee Dee .020 ...
It was full of some residue, but Cox engines are so noble that I do not worry too much about bidding ... I finally won the auction, I received the engine and I started working on it.
Wash it properly by removing all the residues, take care of the interior of the engine seriously, make a bronze throttle ring, starting from a nut of that alloy and the result is great .... I love my new Cox .020!

*This was how it looked in the Auction:

And make an acceleration ring ...

It was also necessary to rectify the cylinder so that the adjustment was perfect...

Finally, the enjoyment of the engine in motion ... what a pleasure to see this little gem work ... without words ...
I share here with you dear friends ..Thumbs Up  Thumbs Up  Thumbs Up

Thanks Kim for leaving your comment here! ...
I also made a ring in aluminum, since the Carb Body, had a crack in the neck (probably over the years) ... finally everything is tight and functional ...
Replace the tank with a back plate also from Cox that was in stock!
I am very happy with this Cox Tee Dee .020! ... soon I will make some video to share here! Thumbs Up

Thanks Eric! Beer Cheers

When placing the previous photo and when zooming I found a surprise that is not visible to the eye ... it is a fissure !, Unfortunately it will not last long, so I will have to replace this piece, there is no other option..

Finally a CA glue that works on most problem-plastics...( see applicable materials listed at the bottom).Maurício if this is available in shops around you then the cracked 020 carb body can be saved.

It's nice to know these old engines are falling into such capable hands. Good work, Mauricio!

Thanks András, there is no glue here ... anyway I have another piece in stock that I have tried at some time and I have recovered it, so, I make the replacement and ready ... meanwhile I will order a new replacement from Cox International !

Rusty, it's an honor that you value me that way. Well, I dedicate a lot of love to these pieces ... I can not let them die, so I try to use all the means I have to recover them and listen to them work again.
I have achieved it, look at you; I have managed to regulate very nicely:

¡Oye! ... escribes en español ... ¿de dónde eres?
No, mi vieja vive en otra casa ... pero no tendría problemas, ¡ella me ha demostrado en muchos años de vivir en su casa!

ticomareado wrote:And the old you tolerates the quilombo of riding the little motor in the kitchen?
quilombo = disorder (one of the meanings) Wink
Hey! ... you write in Spanish ... where are you from?
No, my old woman lives in another house ... but she would not have problems, she has shown me in many years of living in her house!
