Can you change the member list

currently:

Avatar/User name---- HUMOR----Join Date----Last Visit----Posts----PM----Web site

I would love to replace HUMOR with COUNTRY

I was gonna  make a couple of wise cracks about changing humor for country, but my wife reminded me, not everyone appreciates my sense of humor.  Suffice to say changing “humor with Country”  did make me snork a little.

Yeah, that "Humor" field is something leftover from the default forum setup.

I could add a "Country" field, but members could also include their country in the "Location" field.

I don't know what a good motivator would be, but
sometime I wish new members would flesh-out their
profiles a little. Age and location are a good reference
when responding to a post, at least for me.

Some days there will be something on another forum or right here that sparks my memory of a thread some years back

As I try every which way to search--many times I come up dry

Some times all I remember was the poster was from Germany...Sweden...Ukraine....whatever

I go to the member list trying to remember the screen name and try to find all members from Germany...

If it was a "field" in the member list, I could sort the list by Country...right now the only sorts are by the fields shown

Ok, I know what you mean. I went through all the settings and couldn't find anywhere that I could modify the columns on the member list page. Why they don't have it so you can select to sort by Location, I don't know. I could change the word "Humor" to "Location" or "Country", but that is something I should've done back when the forum was new. If I change it now, the Humor field will just simply become the "Country" field and everything that everyone currently has typed in it will remain.

However, only 146 members have something typed in it, so it probably wouldn't take me too long to copy and paste everything over to a new "Humor" field...

People should be able to go back in and edit on thier own without you having to do it. To be honest I have never really understood the humor field anyway.

It’s pretty easy to tell someones sense of humor by the way they write.

Wow. Learning something new every day! Didn't ever use that list, or more honestly knew it looked like that. But anyways, I just updated my profile to reflect my country.

Sweet!  I now indicated I’m in USA.  I’ve moved my humor down a line or two, but am just as funny as always.  

ALRIGHT....WHERE ARE THE  REST OF YOU GUYS.?  


Peeping Tom: over on stunthanger, if completed and checked allowed by user, you can find location on Google earth, zoom in to see,  the garbage can outside someone’s garage!! Picture is a few months old, cause I sold my Brown Caprice a few months ago, but it still shown in the driveway!

Yes it would be nice if everyone would go and change and or enter their country in the new Country field that replaced Humor.

I didn't exactly understand the Humor field either, it believe it was for members to post one-liners that they thought were funny. I don't know. For the most part I overlooked it until now.

I'll still have to go in and change a lot of members accounts before I set the "Country" to display in their posts.
