Cox Engine of The Month
BOY OH BOY

BOY OH BOY
Obviously the following isn't somethng I'd really do cos I'm not THAT stupid
Having fired up a few of them in my office whilst holding them, last night I
did a pepsi 'taste challenge' with 2 BW's and even though I hadn't run one yet,
a Tee Dee.
I was VERY surprised how much more powerful the Tee Dee was compared to
Black Widows.

Re: BOY OH BOY
Yeah I found that out when I got my first Tee Dee .049 a few months ago. You better hold on tight if you have one mounted on an oily plane or you may never see it again. Or put your name and address on it. The Tee Dee pulls hard on the control lines like I've never felt too. They prefer to swing small props, like a 5 or 5.25x4. I got a Medallion about the same time, (both were given to me by one of our generous members) and I put a new slit SPI set on it and it'll blow the doors off a Black Widow too.John Goddard wrote:Obviously the following isn't somethng I'd really do cos I'm not THAT stupid

uuuuh, hi, i got a TD .09, haven't ran it, but should i perhaps bolt my blue bench down to the ground so
it doesnt fall over? its fairly light, and i've got no idea what that machine would do to it with a 7x5(!)
APC competition prop...

Re: BOY OH BOY
It won't be so impressive with a 7" prop on it. Maybe about as fast as a Black Widow with a 5" prop. Still more torque though

Re: BOY OH BOY
I receievd this week on a dutch forum a message if i was interested in two cox engines. He saw one of my postings with a cox logo avatar.
I told him that I will be glad to take them. I know one is a babe bee. The other one will be an .09. Could be a Tee Dee (what I hope) or a Medallion. (did not ask what it was, he only mentioned a 1,5cc)
Cant wait to receive them, I only have to pay for shipping! (about 8,50 dollar).

Same!
I think we should offer a worldwide "cox collection" service where we go and pick up all the unwanted engines and charge nothing to any one
