Cox Engine of The Month
Our office has now reopened :)

Our office has now reopened :)
As some of you may know, our entire city (Williams Lake / BC) was put on evacuation alert July 7 due to huge forest fires and, on July 15, the city was completely evacuated within hours of the evacuation order. We were finally allowed home this weekend and are back in the office processing orders
Theresa unfortunately lost her home to the fires but she is in the office and steadily working away on the orders placed during our absence.
For those of you that placed orders during that time, we apologize for the delay in shipping and everything should be shipped by tomorrow.
For those of you waiting to place orders, please do so as we can use the business

Bernie.
Living in a fire-prone area here in Australia I know well the situation. Pass our best wishes on to Theresa- fire leaves very little behind and a lot of memories can be erased forever. I had several friends lose their homes around here in the last big fire. I'm sure Theresa will get on with life and be supported by family & friends.
Thanks for your commitment to the Cox community and your dedication to your business even in adverse situations such as this.
Cheers from an Aussie winter. Rod.

Re: Our office has now reopened :)
Bernie, thanks for the update. Like Eric said, please tell Theresa we are very sorry to hear of her loss. i was not aware of the wildfires in the Northwest. It seems our local / national news doesn't cover news north or south of our borders. (On the weather map Canada and Mexico show up as gray or light green land ) I did a Google search of Canada Wildfires and this interactive map came up:
http://governmentofbc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=4803204af10a4b34b46b68637a6e9892
Wow, looks like that whole corner of the map was on fire at one time.

Sorry, Bernie, and Theresa, that's awful, and I also didn't know. Had I known, I would've let people know why their orders might have been delayed. I actually heard no instances of it though.

Re: Our office has now reopened :)
Thanks for the update Bernie. Good Lord.. my heart goes out to Theresa. I can't imagine the trauma involved with losing a home in this way.. but at least there was a little time to prepare; which house-fire victims don't usually have. The displacement involved will only be temporary. Rebuilding will commence.. along with options that she may not have had before this happened.
Re: Our office has now reopened :)
Looks like lowlifes are everywhere. Looting and intentional fires being set after the evac order was lifted.
