Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
I don't know yet, waiting on my GlowPlugBoy fuel to come in
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
No that won't help.
Glow plug boy you may want to add a little bit of castor to that as it only has 17%

well *^@#! I didn't notice that, could of stayed with Hobbico and added some castor..... Where can I get castor oil and how much do I add?
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Just a few table spoons of it is good you want 20% castor ideally.WingingIt74 wrote:well *^@#! I didn't notice that, could of stayed with Hobbico and added some castor..... Where can I get castor oil and how much do I add?
Go to the Pharmacy and get USP castor oil or anything de gummed.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Jeremy's Uncle said he has a bunch of 049 parts that I can have once he finds them. I'm anxious to see what's there
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Once the video is uploaded, I'll show you what the 051 was mounted on
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
It's fun to turn up the volume and listen to Randy's comments. He is building is 3rd full-size kit plane.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Must have been so much cooler on glow power though.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
He liked it better as electric as he didn't have a throttle I like electric because it's cleaner and less of a hassle.

Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Back then? There where only full-size servos available, which it would of added too much weight.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Yes but they also only had the battery packs, escs and heavier motors
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Jeremy is now converting another of his Uncle's planes. This one is a 15 size Ercoupe that his Uncle's, it's in my CLSSY56 videos.

I think you will survive besides, electric planes may survive longer as the wood doesn't get oil soaked. That particular one weighs a ton and the 15 is pretty much worn out. It was used a lot prior to being installed in this one.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
I dunno when flying a normal electric that is not 3d or anything it jus feels like you are doug nothing.
Yeah it is fun but no way as fun as fuel power.
Remember your daddy o what will it be powered by?

That's just a fun retro project, I still prefer electric. I had a nitro plane bit me on the underside of my forearm once.
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Maybe once you have the fun you can be converted back to glow.

Not my call, not my plane...
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
I know that I mean mane we can convert you to glow
Re: Everyone's Favorite GameShow... Name that Engine!
Nitro is good for big planes, for the small planes I'd prefer electric.
I'd love to get one of these:
