W-filament .049 glow heads
Here's what I have for W-filament .049 glow-heads. I actually didn't know I had this many.. I understand that they're nothing special.. just a cost-cutting experiment during the Cox years of manufacturing. Mine all light though... (like most of my others... I guess I'm lucky..)
Like all the other little gem parts of our engines... they just keep on delivering fun and performance for decades!

Re: W-filament .049 glow heads
I run them on some engines. They run fine.

Thems look pretty cool. Now if they are run on an inverted engine, would they be an 'M' glowhead?

MOM/WOW.....
Re: W-filament .049 glow heads
My 1973 Command Jeep came with a W-filament head. You can identify a W-filament head by a groove/ring around the top of the glow head.
I have one that has burnt out but but because of the filament design, it reconnected and continues to light.

Some other manufacturers also made "W" filament plugs. I think some early Sky Furys (K&B) had them. I think my K&B Sky Fury .15 twin (long gone) had very short regular filament plugs though.
