Anyone out there restore Baja Bugs?
I'm restoring for resale a Baja Bug that has non stock tires on it. I have a set of
Cox Dune Buggy tires and should I put them on or offer them with the deal? Please look at the chrome parts pictured. Should I repaint them with chrome paint or leave the be? Testors makes a pretty good chrome paint.

That's kind of a hard call // But you say you are restoring, if you are painting other parts or if its just fine condition the way it is and all that needs is better chrome then I would say paint them as long as it don't make them stand out above the rest of the car ? Eric

I needed to do something to the front axle holders on my Cox Eagle when I was restoring it and wound up using met. silver auto lacquer and a coat of clear.
The adhesion promoter helped the paint stick and looks pretty good.

Very nice!
Theres some chrome paint (Alclad) that really looks like chrome, but you need to paint it black first, airbrush on the chrome paint and seal with clear.

This is way the DB I restored using Testors Chrome spray paint came out. I used my daughters red fingernail polish to paint the red lenses from the inside.

If you mean slicks and Dune Buggy style tires I'm not sure. Does anyone know for sure?
