Cox Engine of The Month
What the ?!?!?

What the ?!?!?
What the heck is this thing?!? It has a Cox TD-4 wing glued into what looks like a plastic display model. Not sure what the original plastic model was. Looks kinda like a Stuka. Definitely NOT a PT-19 like the description says.

I have been looking at that and have been scratching my head too. It indeed looks like a stuka fuselage and the more I look at it a PT19 wing. from what I gather it looks almost photo shopped (Bandit)batjac wrote:What the heck is this thing?!? It is definitely a TD-4 wing. You can tell by the shape of the wing and the tabs on the top of the wing for the leadouts. Someone just made holes for the lines to go under the wing instead of above the wing. The only thing about the listing that is PT-19 is the instruction sheet, which doesn't even look like the plane offered. I was going to send the seller a message about how horrendously wrong the listing is, but then I figured, "Why bother?" It's obvious the listing is in error. The seller just wants to sucker someone into buying the POS.

Re: What the ?!?!?
Looks like an early green Stuka on a PT-19 wing to me. Quite the combo to keep a flying model out of some damaged wrecks, huh!

what the??.
Its a frankencox obviously some kid way back when had a stuka and another plane of some sort and really wanted to keep flying and fused them together. It would be kind of fun to:-)see someone buy it and restore it as an odity.looks like theres been some carving and glueing between wing and fuselage so those two parts would be know good anyways!

Re: What the ?!?!?
Reminds me of some of the old cars in Cuba
I might buy a plane like that but not for $60. It does look like something put together from parts that happened to be available, something I myself might have put together back in the day. I don't know if anyone else can relate, but the situation with no ebay or webshops as parts sources, no internet forums or club for information or help, very little money... Sounds familiar to me, almost nostalgic.
Yeah, for $30 shipped, I'd buy it, clean it up and fly it too

Re: What the ?!?!?
Looks like the tail was modified too. I'll bet the old girl flew reasonably well.. and was flown a lot. Still no bids on her though..
Re: What the ?!?!?
I have been watching it too. I need the canopy for a Stuka I may have coming. But no way I'm paying sixty bucks for it. It is Craig's franken Cox/Stuka.
