Here it is assembled with a #1 step cylinder and a high compression head.

Looks a lot better!
The backplates used on RR-1 are basically drilled out (don't remember, but it was a common size) to fit the intake tube, see above photos. However it looks like the tank may have been buggered up to fit the newer backplate. I wouldn't feel bad running this guy, it would be fun to see what it does. But if you ever wanted to restore it of sorts, you could try a blue felt tip pin on the tank and shoot it with some semigloss clear, it wouldn't be fuel proof but would look good.

I found a TD051 piston/cylinder set on eBay.... so it will be soon the RR-051
