cox engine handbook
I was interested in this book as well one of the members said it was quite informative. The 35.00 seems a little high for me living in canada it was 20.00 more I beleive for shipping so I decided know for now I would rather buy more parts etc.

Re: Cox Engine Handbook
I bought mine at the same price on ebay 2 years ago. The information on COX engine types and parts I was interested in though is also available here and there on the net for free. A couple links below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cox_model_engine
http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm
If you are a gourmet and want all nitty-gritty details like serial numbers, years of production, various part combinations, go buy it.

That's Warren Leadbetter's wiki. He's one of our Aussie members here and at RCGroups. I think he goes by Warrenlead on CEF.getback wrote:THANKS GUYS !! I have been using the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cox_model_engine

Re: Cox Engine Handbook
I purchased the book about eight months ago. If you are a collector of Cox engines, it is money well spent. If you are just buying and refurbishing engines, you will enjoy this handbook too. It is pricey at $35, however, I use it all the time, and it has really enhanced my understanding of the engines I own (and would like to own). I will go out on a limb here and say if you are a member of this forum, you will really enjoy this handbook and be glad you purchased it. Just my two cents. Andy

Re: Cox Engine Handbook
Me too. The book may be a bit on the high side, but I've continued to enjoy it, and have certainly spent more money on things that didn't deliver the enjoyment of this little volume.
I also printed out Warren's Wikipedia Page, and keep it tucked inside the book...and so, have a ton of info in one quick grab.
Comes down to personal preference, but I feel like it was money well-spent on my part.

Re: Cox Engine Handbook
Been mulling over buying this book for a few years, and
I've never seen it for any price other than $35.Got a
birthday coming next week(ugh), and my wife will no
doubt ask "what do you want?". I could never justify
buying it outright for myself, sooooo....
Bob
edit: Now I don't see it listed antwhere. Go figure.
