RE: Located and then some
Ask and you shall receive ??
Thanks for the tip. A few weeks ago I too found one in Ohio. Looked good from the pictures but it was already built. I bought it and had it shipped.
Not to terribly bad but yellowed slightly. Nice plane and it looks like it was never flown or maybe a flight or two.
Then just yesterday someone listed one on eBay that had been up a few times New in Box never built.
I bought and it is on its way. wife is going to be [bleep].
I did contact the one you posted but I don't think I can get away with 3.

Re: Wanted - Cox Cessna 182 Skylane
Hey, just wondering what you'd consider a fair price for one. Is $100 too much? I was Looking at it as it might be $40 for the engine $40 for the plane $20 for the radio /accessories. ..? What'd you pay off eBay? Thanks

Re: Wanted - Cox Cessna 182 Skylane
In my opinion and based upon everything I have seen on eBay as actual sold items I would say these are worth between $200 to $250.00
Sometimes you may get really lucky and find the complete RTF Kit including the Cox Radio Unit that came as a bundle.
There is one guy trying to sell this New in Box kit for $376.00 and as it seems outrageous and yes I think he is crazy the question is what is the supply for these right now ?
I can tell you from experience trying to find a sportavia literally is a hit or miss. And now the cessna 182 is getting the same way as well.
If you can get one for $100.00 I feel that is a steal.
For the already built 182 I bought that has discoloration I paid $205 shipped. Was that too much ?? That depends. The sportavia and 182 where the two models I have really wanted to complete my collection.
And then finding one recently that is new in the box with the radio unit I paid right at $209.00 shipped. Which really is a great price to me.
Most likely the sportavia and new in box 182 will stay in the box as display box models. But I am really considering getting the already built discolored 182 up and ready to fly.
