No matter how good friends you and your 4-stroke engine are, just do not follow my mistake of shaking hands with a spinning 12x6 prop.

(After starting the OS MAX 56 FS up with an electric starter, I wanted to adjust the needle valve....but from the wrong side of the prop. It happens sometimes and I am still proud to admit it - as long as I can still order 5 beers raising only one hand in the pub).

Far away from any medical aid in the abandoned airfield, some adhesive tape as a make-shift bandage helped me continue flying. (The 1st aid kit in my car just did not have a wide-enough bandage)

I gave an extra dose of after-run oil to the OS in the evening in recognition of which one of us the boss in the field is. My chopped flesh is also curing fine.

Yes, they do need their personal space.  Smile

I'm guessing it didn't hit an artery or you wouldn't have continued flying. Good to hear you're OK.

Thanks for your concer...it only chopped the flesh on the edge of my hand, but I kept shaking it even after I have expressed my friendship... I know an OS Max is not quite forgiving when you are fiddling with your hands near the prop...lesson learnt, hand cured, engine oiled...so lets continue flying...
