My first planes I built
Hi Everyone
I just wanted to show my first 2 planes I built since I started with control line in 2012.
Firstly, I built a Baby EZE. It is easy to build. It was designed by Keith Renecle in South Africa. He is a great guy and teached me to fly. Every time we go flying, I learn more from him. He has a lot of knowledge and is always available and willing to help.
Baby Eze:
Secondly, I built a Baby Ringmaster. I learned a lot from this build. The plane flies really nicely.
I am flying these 2 models for fun.
My trainer is a EZE 1. Also designed by Keith. This plane flies great. It is a really nice stunt model. It uses a MVVS .15. I bought it from him, they used this same model to teach many other kids before me. So it was not a new model when I got it. After a few months when I tried inverted flight for the first time, I nose dived straight into the tarmac.
This was taken on the day:
I fixed the plane and now can almost do the whole beginner pattern. I still need to do the overhead 8.
This is how my plane looks now after I fixed it:
I am now building a Little Satan. I will start a build thread to show how that is progressing.

Re: My first planes I built
Hi, Theo, you're coming right along, building and flying, that's great. It's good that you have someone to help you learn, and also that you are flying a bigger .15 size plane too. The bigger ones aren't quite as tricky to fly are they. You've got a lot of nerve learning to fly over a paved circle. I never do that unless I have to. Grass is good stuff.
Thanks for posting, I've been wondering how you were doing since we traded some PMs a while back.

Looks good Theo!
Your planes have fared better than mine when I was first learning.

Re: My first planes I built
Thanks Guys
We do have a grass circle Rusty, but it is not green grass. It is like a field and very hard. So there is not a lot of difference between the tarmac and the grass circle for me. Wish we had nice grass circles like you guys have.

Your first planes look great, Theo. The only reason more of my planes don't look like your EZE-1 are because I'm too timid. But, then, I know I'm nowhere near as good as you are, either. You fixed it up nicely. And, does it fly better after being crashed and repaired like my old R/C planes do?

Thanks Mark
I dont think I am a good flyer yet. But I am getting there.
Yes it turned out quite good. It does fly better, as the previous learners took almost the whole rubber off with an outside loop. It still flew though.

I hate it when I bust a rubber. As for the plane, you may be surprised to find it flies just as well without a rudder.Theo Kleynhans wrote:... the previous learners took almost the whole rubber off with an outside loop. It still flew though.

Re: My first planes I built
Good one Rusty. No problem. I enjoyed that.
Sorry for the spelling error.
Yes with that I saw that the rudder did not make a big difference.
Getback, your ringmaster is coming along.
Thanks for the comments guys.
