Craig Breedlove still looking for speed
I came across this story not long ago and was surprised he was still looking for speed records.
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2011/11/03/craig-breedlove-going-for-800-mph-land-speed-record-in-2013/
I was about ten when he was racing the first Spirit of America against Art Arfons Green Monster.
They traded the record back and forth for two years, they were on the magazine covers and in the news and I thought they were the real Iron Men.
The Spirit of America was the first over 400, 500 and 600 MPH, great times to be a kid.

Yes I remember those days well as a kid growing up... and Gary Gabelich too! The "Blue Flame"!!
I've always loved hotrods, airplanes and boats.. not necessarily in any order, but when it comes to a hotrod "boat".. you can't beat a Crackerbox!

Oh yeah Roddie I remember Gary Gabelich.
Got to see the Blue Flame, on display in the lobby of the
now gone NY Colesium, at the annual auto show.
I think that was 1970.
