economical airplane cleaner
I keep a 1 qt. pump-spray bottle filled with ordinary automobile windshield-washer fluid in my flight tote, along with a micro-fiber rag. When done flying, lay the rag over/around the cooled engine and "mist" the model top and bottom... then take the rag off the engine and wipe-down the plane with it. Don't spray the engine with it, because there's mostly "water" in the washer-fluid, which will cause any exposed bare metal parts to rust.
NOTE: I live in the New England, and use the "Winter" mix... which contains a higher concentration of alcohol, which probably works better for cleaning, than the standard mix.
At $1.50/gal. you can't beat it...

I always loose my tool in the nooks and crannys of my field box. Good thing I got plenty o tool.

I remember my Mom complaining about the "pin" marks and Ambroid all over our dining room table, from when my Dad built his Ukie's years ago. I have one of those models built back then... A Veco "Warrior" with Veco .35C engine. The engine; he had bought for and flown on a "Renegade" before he built the Warrior.
