TeeDee vs. Medallion Crank

TeeDee vs. Medallion Crank
I'm sure this topic has been discussed before but if it hasn't I would like to hear what people know about it.
Is it port timing that is also different between the two? Or is it simply a matter of cost savings with the drilled Medallion hole?
Has anyone played around and tried swapping venturi's and crankshafts? TD venturi with Medallion crank, TD crank with Medallion venturi?
I've always been curious about this.

Re: TeeDee vs. Medallion Crank
Well the medallion has a smaller round intake while while the tee dee has a larger rectangular one also I believe the diameter of the internal whole is smaller this all means less fuel gets to the engine.
I have no idea about the venturi, spraybar etc I think the tee Dee must have better performance I am sure the main difference lies in the piston/cylinder and glowhead.

That helicopter crank sure is something!!!
I always wanted a 1/2a heli but now even the lite machines ones are incredibly expensive.
Re: TeeDee vs. Medallion Crank
They used that crank in the R/C 05 and 09 had its high performance version too.
I bought a Lite Machines TD (051) for the finned head to use as extra cooling in a monohull boat and discovered it also had the HP crank.

It looks like the davis killer crank with intake and passage cut into it.
