Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
Hi,
Any one ? Strange that, I contacted FMK models, UK , for a quote, but their reply mail ip are from China, and instead of give me a quote, they ask me how much I'm willing to pay for their model, and they only accept western union , and not accept Paypal. thats weird.
Could it be FMK Models email had been hacked or somethin?
Thats weird.

This is odd. FMK are part of the Five Star group.
I recently bought dope, tissue and glue from them. They don't accept Paypal and prefer money transfer or cheque but give 14 days credit after receipt.

Hi,
Yes , Thats weird, but they did email me again and mentioned that their balsa kit for .049 cost USD 110 and no shipping cost calculated yet . I did ask them " Are you FMK Models based in UK? " and returned no reply.

Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
yes, according to their history , FMK is well established model manufacturer. I suspect that maybe they want to end their business just like Black Hawk models, and maybe someone in China might take over their company. I don't know , just wild guess. The email I receive is @gmail, not @fmkmodel.com

Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
I own FMK, and the Miniature Aircraft Factory and do all the emails.....We have not sent or read any emails for FMK at all recently...... due to being busy with the other companies and relocation of FMK and StarSpan to Bulgaria ( other companies staying in UK )
What email did you send to? as we didnt answer! ( especially over the last month as ive been in Bulgaria and nobody else does model emails yet due to the move )
was it the .co.uk or .com etc as we have about 1000 domain names all have email addreses and I have them all set up differently , most are diverted but some have individual mail boxes
the email is help @ fmkmodels . com , i suppose someone in china is using fmkmodel not fmkmodels , typical if they are!
I am not monitoring the emails for the model sites at present , due to lack of time, for info on anything use the shop4glue contact details listed in the above post or help @ shop4glue .eu
The company is not for sale , not closed etc , just in the middle of major restructuring of production of the model products , more of a massive expansion in ability to produce , we are moving into 10,000 sq M factory in Bulgaria
The kits we have are sold only at shows due to limited stock left till more is produced and are now almost run out ( for now ), I used to produce kits myself and I am just too busy running 3 adhesive factories in different countries to make any now.
My main company is StarLoc Industrial adhesives ( starloc.eu ) , we sell to the model trade through FiveStar Distribution , retail through Shop4glue.eu
3 years or so ago , we bought a PVA factory in Prague , it was making a loss ( we bought for the distribution network and equipment), we moved it to Bulgaria to our 6 acre site near StaraZagora , we are expanding in a very large way in eastern europe due to the low cost and decent work force,
But.... now we still have Prague open and 2 other sites in Bulgaria and one in the UK , one in Bulgaria was to be kits but recently flooded a bit.... so now kits will be on our other site with the adhesives
My other companies are still producing industrial and modeling adhesives and dopes in the UK , anything with UK text on is from the UK in the Adhesives , but kits and products made for modeling other than chemical based ones will now be from remaining stock or our new factory in Bulgaria , another range of adhesives will be available from Bulgaria this year
In Bulgaria we can employ people who want to work, costs are low for everything like property, company tax etc unlike in the UK making production viable to compete with china for model hobby products
Most things are in place for kit production to start in a much bigger way than before but having the time to finish off is the problem and my adhesive companies take priority.
We are still a 100% UK owned company, no contact with China! ,
We dont use Paypal or western union, we use Google if people want to pay by card but I prefer to send people out orders and them to pay afterwards, giving 14 days credit, pay by cheque, postal order, bank transfer or by card AFTER people get there order
Kits will be available towards the end of this year, I am in Bulgaria at least a week every month but mainly working on the adhesives manufacture, September I will spend a month on the model products but there are a lot of things other than kits all being worked on at the same time and nothing being sold till its perfect
Im just off to check the email records and passwords etc!

Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
Hi,
I'm glad to see FMK models owner in CEF and answered all our questions.
Also happy to see FMK actually size up the models business even larger than ever.
Yes , you are right , I noticed that China using FMKModel without "s" to confused me.
Must beware about this!
I will login to uk site directly when I need dope, glue , model etc, the previous link was from a forum , who link to a fmk model email and I ask for a quote. I check back the forum and the link was deleted !
Once again , many thanks for clear all this, and my sincere apologies to FMK Models for post something negative about FMK Models in CEF.

Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
Wow, knock off FMK models kits! Hopefully you gain control over this. Take a bunch of date stamped screenshots of the website. Hopefully you don't have to drag lawyers into it. Do you recall sending a bunch of kits to China in the past? Perhaps its just someone reselling their unused model kits.
Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
I believed that China guy purchased the kit, reverse engineer and copy from original. They sell dope and glue too. The fake FMK did ask me how many carton I need, they suggest me to order in bulk quantity.

Re: Any one familiar with FMKmodels?
I think they have no goods of ours or copies of them in China, I think the china trade site and emails are a scam and if anyone sends money they will get nothing!
I have been on to legal contacts in the trade department and apparently the site is a site that copies everything from the net automaticaly and lists it for sale as a china product its a scam trade directory, many/most other companies are on it as well , i presume emails go to the same place as well as any payments people send
