It probably runs good. Gasoline and oil(castor I hope), according to the seller. It's too much stuff to break for my applications though.

Nicely crafted, but I'd think going from 25% nitro fuel to gas it is more like 'Tee Dee .049 on estrogen'! Smile

Did you notice the two small (.15cc and .25cc) diesels he also listed?

I think its not practical in planes, just an experiment set. gasoline at 049 displacement can't pump out much horse power, It might run stable , but under powered.
Add weighs from spark ignition coils and battery, I think it only can fly a glider than any sport planes.

Someone wants it bad. I bet it will fetch $200 to $300.

I bet the oil he was revering to is 30wt 2 stroke oil at around 16:1 mix. Castor doesn't mix well with gasoline.

That is probably a safe ratio.  Modern 2-stroke oils are much superior to straight weight non-detergent oils of days past.

In my antique Johnson 3hp I run modern 2-stroke oil at 24:1.  With appropriate modern oil this is probably a safe ratio.  A name brand lawn equipment or chainsaw 2-stroke oil is what I would suggest, and absolutely not run lighter oil load than this.
