Good day for me!
Won an auction recently, mostly old CL stuff, cox starting kit etc. It had what looked like an .049 babe bee in the kit. It arrived today, but to my surprise it turned out to be a pee wee .020. Also came with extra tools and prop. I had it running within the hour. All that for less than 20 bucks shipped. Anyway just a good day.......

You bet! Just not sure in what yet, i have been so busy trying to aquire engines that I haven't been thinking about aircraft. My sin wants me to build a biplane so I need to find some .020 sized plans.

Re: Good day for me!
Try a Guillows kit. most of there U-Control/ FF models also tell you how to incorporate RC. I my self am working on a P-51. its made for a lil .020, so i will let you know how she fits in.
Here is an example of what i am yammering on about: http://www.guillow.com/nieuportii.aspx

Good idea!
That just may be the ticket. I would be interested in hearing how it comes together for you. Small world I lived in Mississauga 1978-1979 and again in 1993-1994. I am now in Texas, go figure. Thanks for the reply.

I was thinking about building one with an .020 peewee and flying it with a tether stick.
Re: Good day for me!

Link worked for me....
Nice plane, definitely would work for me. Hmmm now how do I go about getting the plans?
Shell shock,
Lived off of Rathburn road in 70's and on Huxley drive in the 90's too young to remember what part of the city though. My first experience with a Cox engine was at a ball park in mississauga. My dad had it bolted to a 'Lil Wizard I was holding the tail and he ran to the control lines and told me to let go. I was scared of the noise..... And I fell on the plane trying to get away. Busted the tail to pieces. Still have the plane though. 1978 I was 4 years old. I think I should call my dad and scold him about responsible parenting...... Still though, I was hooked on Cox engines from that point on. I love that sound now.

I meant he had the youngest involvement with cox engines out of anyone I know.
Re: Good day for me!
Funny Nitro.... never thought of it that way, my Dad was very quick to anger in those days. He picked me up off the ground, knocked the gravel off my skinned knees and asked if I was Ok, he never yelled or said a word about it. I guess he realized how bad I could have been hurt if I fell on the prop. My son is 5 now and when I fire one of these beauties up he runs into the house and slowly creeps back out once it's running. He is not keen on the noise either, but he loves to hold the engines and flip the prop. Goes to show that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Re: Good day for me!
I like just flipping the prop it gives a feeling of satisfaction.
He ever tried rc?

Re: Good day for me!
Nitro,
No he boasts about being able to fly and does not quite understand the difficulty level. Kids do seem to pick up on things very quickly. I myself have just recently begun flying after a long break and I have already had quite a few crack ups. I just may hand him the controls and just commit to the fact the plane will come down. I could invest in a buddy box........

Re: Good day for me!
If I were you I'd get him a
Little parkzone cub or something small and rather inexpensive and let him try and get it up himself.
Or maybe just a little silverlit to have fun with like the x twin classic trainer.

I recommend the HobbyZone Champ.
This model is quite possibly the most popular and easy to fly trainer around. My brother had never flown before, he tried to fly one and did ok until he got far off and handed me back the TX. A few months later he tried again, and never had another problem. I even think it's fun.
Re: Good day for me!
That's quite funny, I have a park zone playmate. I guess it's time. I will get it high and hope for the best. Thanks
