My Gulliver

Hi all, thought I better put my money where my mouth is. Heres a pic. of my completed Gulliver. Origanaly bang bang single channel designed in around 1962. I too plan to fly it rudder only. obviously Cox PeeWee powered.

That looks very cool. I like it alot! Did you buy a kit, get plan, scratch build? Do you know how it fies and lands without elevator control?

Nice! I've been so busy with Norvel stuff all day I haven't had a chance to look at it until now. I find freeflight fascinating. Makes me wish I lived in the wide open spaces. I watched a lekkie freeflyer at the club field, but he had to keep powering up to keep it between the trees. Maybe you can get a vid for us? Do like Kim and tape a camera to it.

It was scratch built from a plan I found at http://www.outerzone.co.uk/. I just down loaded it and had the plan printed at my local printers.
As for flying it, as soon as it warms up here in the U.K. I shall give it a go with onboard video that I shall attempt to post. As for elevator control, as long as it's a good stable design, balanced and trimmed properly. Who needs an elevator? As long as you can steer it, gravity sucks anyway. The origanal design didn't have a removable power pod but I wanted mine removable as I wanted to have a go at rudder only slope soaring!!! Now I think that will be a real challenge.
