After deciding I may need another 1.5/1.75 oz's on the FF 5 in the form of a remote glow
to make it fly how I want it and whilst I had my drug dealers scales out I thought I'd
have a little look see at what things weigh.
I'm not sure what glows Bernie has in his extreme/bullet etc but they weigh 2.25 grams more than
the standard Norvel button type. The 5 fin head/clamps are a gram heavier than the norvels too.
Likewise a td plug is half gram lighter than a standard 3 fin.

Is this an obsession too far.......................?

There is knowledge, obsession, Obsession, and OBSESSION...

Knowing the weights is simply knowledge. It is helpful to know that changing the heads and inserts can meaningfully affect the balance of an airplane. How you choose to use and pursue this knowledge changes how you capitalize the word.
